Phoebe on Queen – Toronto

Challenge

The builder wanted to use higher quality finishes for this multiple building complex. Specifically they wanted to use hardwood floors as the standard flooring in all of the units. Additionally, the building has concrete sub-floors so it was important to select a product that was stable and could be installed over the concrete.

Solution

The builder chose 2 different engineered hardwood products for the complex. The Samba Clic floating click together hardwood was used as the standard floor offering. Samba Clic, from the PB Collection, uses a high density fiberboard backing which minimizes expansion and contraction, and the floating installation is great for use over concrete sub-floors.

The builder also selected Listone Giordano glue down hardwoods for the upgrade offering. Listone Giordano hardwood uses a multi-ply marine birch support to produce the maximum dimensional stability in the industry and the floor is glued down for a truly stable and quiet installation. A wide range of natural woods gave the unit owners ample choice during the finishes selection process.
