Elle Decoration Design Awards

Medoc Listone Giordano designed by Michele De Lucchi+Philippe Nigro awarded EDIDA the best Floor Covering of the Year 2010 during Milan Salone.

The 25th international edition of the ELLE DECORATION network has awarded the Medoc wood flooring collection this year's winners of the eighth annual Elle Decoration International Design Award.

Voted for by the editors of ELLE Decoration all around the world, an EDIDA represents an award of international recognition within the world of design, judged according to twelve different categories.

Designed by Michele De Lucchi in collaboration with Philippe Nigro The goal is to convey the effect of "essence", of the solidity and density of wood, and its achieved using Listone Giodano well established technologies.

The "trunk" outline takes up the trapezoidal shape of old floorboards, as the planks were not straightened in order to avoid any waste. Uneven saw cutting accentuates the natural thickness of the wood.
